Most Online members attend traditional, face to face (F2F) AA meetings, supplementing these with Online meetings when F2F meetings are not available. Those who have few meetings nearby, work nights, or just want to participate in AA that has a world-wide flavor also find Online AA a good match.
Many newcomers who fear loss of anonymity started their recovery journey through online meetings and today are active members of F2F groups.
The wonder of online AA is that the homebound, the deaf, the blind and non-typists (with the help of voice/video software) fit in perfectly with this approach of carrying the message.
